The Best Summer Beauty Treatments

Summer is quickly approaching and after being locked up in quarantine for the better part of 2020 we are ALL ready to break out of our remote lives and get back into the real world. So if you are wondering what type of treatments you should book/give yourself to fool everyone into thinking that you have been getting lots of rest like sleeping beauty and not just hibernating like a grizzly bear binging all that netflix has to offer then read on:
The Treatment:
HAIR SPF
I know, I know, this sounds wrong but it's not exactly so literal. Ultimately popping in and out of the sun all Summer wreaks havoc on hair causing it to become dehydrated and weaken. Getting a hydrating hair treatment will help with damage control pre and post sun exposure, restoring your hairs shine.
Where to get it:
You can get this at most salons, just ask for a hydrating hair treatment - they will know what you mean ;)
Or you can treat yourself by purchasing your own ultra hydrating hair mask and leaving it on 5-10 minutes before you shower!
May we recommend this restorative butter mask called Hair Redemption from Better Not Younger.
The Treatment:
Leg Wax
This one goes without saying, warmer temps means bringing out the swimsuits, skirts and dresses and showing off those hairy legs. JK. Very very obviously kidding. Summertime IS leg season and you could shave your legs every single day OR you could wax your legs twice, you choose.
Where to get it:
You could book an appointment at a wax salon and pay $100 per leg {insert nauseous emoji}
Orrrr you could purchase your own waxing pot and do it yourself for $50 {insert insanely happy emoji} Seems like a no brainer to me. Either way, you will be smooth and stubble free for weeks.

The Treatment:
Fake & Bake Tan
Once your silky smooth its time to glow! We recommend avoiding the rays and long term damage that comes along with excess sun exposure and getting a fake tan.
Where to get it:
You can shell out $65+ at the salon for a single spray tan
or you can get a natural looking glow at home with Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Water for $28 and you get soooo many uses out of it. Apply it with a tanning mitt for a no-streak, all-natural look.

The Treatment:
Pedicure!
There is nothing that screams summer more than sandals and bare feet! So treat your toes to a polish and your feet to a good scrub and hydrating massage. They've earned it being cooped up all year!
Where to get it:
You can find a decent pedicure at a nail salon for $40-70 depending how fancy you get with the upgrades or you could take the challenge into your own hands and give your feet a lil extra TLC in the shower with a salt or sugar scrub when you’re out put on a good movie and polish those babies up, we love this butter london polish since the brush is so thick it makes it easier than ever to smooth the polish on. Might we suggest a pop of pink for summer? :)
